Amber Saffron EDP

Amber Saffron was not a blind buy, my cousin was wearing it and when it wafted close, the softness grabbed me.
Saffron flower (crocus?) is an underrated note. Crocuses emerge shyly when snows melt. As harbingers of spring they bring the promise of renewal.
Colish has done a marvelous job of making saffron, rose and Amber coalesce in pure harmony. Sandalwood if handled clumsily crashes a fragrance. Here it descends as a misty rain to envelop and establish the trio as a finely wrought masterpiece.
It sits close to the skin, sillage is average. As is longevity. That why it gets 4 stars from me.
For me, it’s a fragrance to be worn all year, nothing seals it’s fate as a winter entity.
As for packaging, it rivals that of all niche fragrances from Louis Malle ( not opulent, it’s elegant) to Xerjoff.
I love that it’s understated and classy and a delight to undo.
